Keeping employees, communities & assets safe across industries

The NRC’s 50+ year history began in natural gas faults and gas emergency response services within the Victorian Gas and Fuel Corporation. With a team of experienced 24/7 responders, the business now handles 50% of Australia’s natural gas faults and emergencies and has been able to expand into adjacent industries such as renewables and mining as well as water and other utilities, broadening response services across a range of assets and critical infrastructure.

Over time, NRC has been able to design and build a reliable 24/7 employee safety monitoring service for journey management, lone workers and remote workers, addressing customer use cases in a rapidly changing employee safety landscape in traditional and emerging industries with large scale projects around Australia, particularly in regional and remote locations.

Energy and Resources

Supporting the energy and resources industry for more than 50 years.

At the time of the NRC acquisition by Origin in 1999, the gas market was in the throes of deregulation in Victoria. NRC maintained its hand in emergency response through that significant transition, working to provide response services to new market entrants and demonstrating a capability that could extend well beyond natural gas.

Today, NRC provides a range of response and employee safety monitoring services often involving remote assets and infrastructure, with workers travelling long distances, working alone or working at remote asset locations.

Our services are aligned with well-known established businesses operating within the energy and resources, water, government, renewables, utilities, health and mining industries.

Water and Utilities

Supporting water and utility industry infrastructure, employees & communities.

Similar to energy and resources, water and sewer infrastructure exists across metro, regional and remote parts of Australia with rivers, reservoirs, pipelines, pumping stations and networks all requiring ongoing management and a way for the community to report faults and emergencies across these assets.

The NRC has accumulated 38 years of service experience within the water industry and currently provides a range of services which includes handling inbound fault and emergency calls, outbound dispatch, actioning SCADA alarms and employee safety monitoring of employees undertaking journey’s, lone work and remote work activities for several water authorities.

Government

NRC employee safety monitoring services covering federal, state and local government have been established and are currently operating within some state-based government departments who have employees travelling long distances, working alone or working remotely.

Other Industries

NRC response and employee safety monitoring services are available to support other industry use cases across maritime, health, mining, transport, engineering and construction to achieve improved safety outcomes for employees and customers.
