Shane Rayner - Manager, National Response Centre
Shane commenced his career with the Gas and Fuel in 1978 as an apprentice plumber and gasfitter and is currently Manager, National Response Centre (NRC). Shane has extensive field management experience within the gas industry, in particular, managing a 24 hour dispatch facility. Shane has contributed to the success of a number of major gas Information Technology Projects.
Shane's accountabilities include - gas emergency and supply failure call handling, 24 hour notification, reporting and emergency dispatch response to serious gas incidents. Shane's expertise was utilised by the gas industry during the Victorian "gas crisis". Shane has an Advanced Certificate in Management from the Western Metropolitan College of TAFE.
